  In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees and promote the healthy development of the enterprise, the Trade Union of Sichuan Adimanle Leather Products Co., Ltd. was established in May 2007. A trade union committee has been set up, comprising eight trade union branches and more than 140 union members. The selection process also identifies comrades who possess strong professional competence, enjoy high prestige among employees, and are capable of conscientiously fulfilling the duties prescribed by relevant laws and regulations governing trade unions. At present, eight trade union officials are performing their trade union duties in their respective positions.

  Since its establishment, the company’s trade union has continuously refined itself and strengthened its management. The union’s development has also received full recognition from higher-level trade unions, company leadership, and all employees. In 2014 and 2015, the chairman of the company’s trade union was successively awarded the First Prize in the Shuangliu County Enterprise Trade Union Chairman Assessment and Incentive Mechanism, as well as the title of “Vibrant Trade Union,” and additionally received the Second Prize for Standardized Democratic Management of Open Factory Affairs.

  In order to fully implement the Scientific Outlook on Development and foster a societal atmosphere of widespread reading, the company’s trade union has taken a pragmatic approach to ensure that employees feel the warmth of the enterprise and to enhance their overall sense of well-being. The Employees’ Home was completed in September 2016, and its construction and management are outlined below:

  Establishing a “Staff Home” to ensure that employees “have a home to call their own.” Enriching employees’ cultural life has always been an integral part of our leadership’s efforts to engage staff in building the corporate culture. We have gradually set up a comprehensive cultural and recreational center for employees, comprising a staff club and a staff bookstore. With an investment of RMB 4,000, we purchased a wide range of books and added amenities such as coffee tables, chess and card tables, billiard tables, mahjong tables, and cable television. To enhance the physical fitness of the majority of employees, we promoted the slogan “National Sports.” The trade union also installed large sound systems in the open spaces around the employee dormitories and added numerous fitness equipment, including pull-up bars, parallel bars, exercise bikes, waist-twisting machines, and Tai Chi push-pole devices. During the post-lunch break, employees are encouraged to participate in fitness activities such as aerobics and square dancing, which have been well received by both management and staff and have effectively advanced the development of the company’s spiritual civilization.

  Under the new circumstances, all union officials will continue to be pragmatic, enterprising, and diligent. They will also infuse their work with a spirit of pioneering and innovation, effectively fulfilling the union’s functions and ensuring that the union truly becomes a home for workers.
